Praxis provides independent, non-attest reviews and advisory services within the scope agreed in writing with each client.

Nature of services

Praxis services may include underwriting reviews, operational reviews, financial controls reviews, reconciliations, process assessments, workpaper preparation, exception reporting, and corrective-action support.

Services not provided

Unless expressly stated in a written agreement and performed by appropriately qualified professionals, Praxis services do not constitute:

• an audit, review, compilation, or attestation engagement performed under CPA or public-accounting standards;
• a legal opinion or legal representation;
• an actuarial opinion, reserve certification, or rate filing;
• a regulatory examination, regulatory certification, or guarantee of compliance;
• a claims audit, coverage opinion, or claims-handling determination; or
• a guarantee that fraud, error, noncompliance, or every exception will be identified.

Scope and reliance

Conclusions are limited to the agreed scope, review period, criteria, samples, systems, documents, and representations made available. Sampling does not test every transaction. Findings should be considered together with the engagement report, limitations, management responses, and supporting workpapers.

Client responsibility

Clients remain responsible for underwriting decisions, policy administration, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, remediation, and the design and operation of their controls.

Professional advice

Clients should consult legal counsel, licensed accountants, actuaries, compliance professionals, or other specialists when their advice or certification is required.
